I embrace the tinkerer, the dreamer, the thinker. My passion is to create, to combine knowledge and imagination--both visually and through writing--to transport a time and place to another. This is why I love the documentary arts.
My formal background began in the environmental sciences where I was fortunate to be a stranger in a strange land working for the Smithsonian. I've been blessed to have been published, both peer-reviewed and popular-press, and win a few awards along the way. Today, I'm etching new adventures beginning with my first book, The Grayling Storm.
